Q. Okay. I used to watch this when I was about 7 - 9 Years old. I am 15 now. Just yesterday I thought of a scene after about 6 - 7 years not even thinking about it. Now I don't remember the name! It has to do with some toy soldiers and some action figures going to get something or someone. They need to retrieve something or GAH! I forget. There is like one main army guy or soldier. He goes with a gang of little toys and monster to do something (stop bad guys somewhere) Sorry for the description, but if you could just name something off I can remember. Thanks so much everyone! thank you so much! I was so afraid I would never ever find my favorite movie as a child! Haha. Thanks everyone!

Q. I work retail, and as i stocked the toys today i began to wonder how these things were exposed to as children affect our perception. For the most part, it seemed like the girls toys all pushed this idea of material wealth, for example a lot of princesses, castles, mansions, glam dress up stuff. and the boys toys generally dealt with guns, soldiers, weapons, action figures on steroids, and hostility. As an adult now, i see how women desire material things, weather they gain them themselves or marry a rich man, they want to live the " princess-like" fantasies of youth. And other men seem to struggle with trying to understand just what it means to be a man, and to control themselves- since people get offended easily ill include a disclaimer… [cont.]

A. t all comes back to anthropology. Men are the hunters and warriors, and women are the gatherers and nest mothers. Therefore men are instinctively more attracted to things that involve combat/warfare/power while women are attracted to material things that increase their own beauty or make things around them nicer. Call this statement sexist all you want, but no amount of progressive thinking will change 40,000 years of hardwiring.
